This site aims to be an easy reference guide to experts, specialists, assessors and information in public law children proceedings. It aims at ensuring consistency of approach and suggest tips and provide tools in these type of cases. 

With the introduction of the Care Planning, Placement and Case Review (England) Regulations 2010 SI 2010 No: 959 which came into effect on 1 April 2011 and the Family Procedure Rules 2010 which came into force on 6 April 2011 all practitioners are examining closely the changes and how it affects them.

The new rules comes with a number of Practice Directions which every practitioner should become familiar with.

The Munro Review of Child Protection by Professor Eileen Munro has been published. Key areas of reform set out in the report include: Giving other professionals easier access to social work advice when they have concern about abuse or neglect; Reducing the length of statutory guidance; and Ensuring that management and inspection procedures monitor whether children are actually getting the help that they need.
